Telephotos have more elements. Fast lenses have more elements. If you are going to take this kind of picture you probably need to select your slowest single focal length normal or longer lens with the best coatings.I suggest telephotos have fewer elements usually. Fast, zoom, and retrofocus wide angles are what push the element count up. tOM-- You're right.
