I use my 2450 for scanning my 645 negatives and prints. It is a
shame that it does not have ICE, but I am a dab hand at cloning for
dust and scratches now. It is a great scanner.
I have found the Firewire connection to be faster than the USB.

The Epson 2450 is a very nice scanner, especially with the silverfast
software. I compared the scanner to a Nikon 2000LS (an older slide scanner)
and the results are very good. You can scan 4 framed slides or 2 filmstrips
at a time, however I don't like Automode (it isn't an OM4Ti, nor
manufactured by Olympus ;-). Firewire is OK, however filmscanning can be
time-consuming...
