[OM] NiMH Batteries in a G40 flash?

Does anyone know if it is OK to use NiMH rechargeable batteries in the 
Olympus G40 flash?  The instruction book (that I got from Olympus) says 
NiCADs are OK, but has nothing to say about the NiMH's - possibly because 
it looks to be an early printing, as it talks about the IS-1/IS-1000, and 
says nothing about the IS-3 that I'm using the flash on...  Thanx!
