The F280 does not tilt/bounce, so can you see any problem with
using the TTL Auto Cord to point it at the ceiling? This would
cut the available light by about 1/2, but will it introduce any
metering issues?
Flash lighting is often harsh. Some photography books suggest
to cover the flash with tissue paper. Obviously this will
reduce the amount of available light, but that should be the
only downside, right?
B&H's photo of the F280 wide angle adapter is not the greatest.
It looks like the adapter is somewhat translucent, so it would
act as a softener. Is this a valid assumption or is B&H's photo
just really bad (B&H item # OLWAF280)? If not, what could I
permanently attach to the adapter to soften the light? That way,
I could use the F280 with the original face for normal lighting
and then swap in the adapter for more diffuse lighting.
