Well, I did it.
Picked up a Canon S9000. Thank you, everybody, for your
recommendations and comments.
I was extremely pleased that I was able to follow the
step-by-step instructions and it worked first time "out of the
box". Shoot, if I can figure out how to plug this printer into
my computer, maybe I can learn a thing or two about the
internet. Who knows, Internet knowledge could be a marketable
skill.
Nah.
Anyway, it is fast, sharp, and has terrific driver software.
Can't find large paper for it, though. I'm going to try running
a sheet of Ilford Multigrade (fixed, washed, dried) through it
to see if the quality holds. I've got some 11x14 I can cop for
the task.
