Wow. Congratulation!
Primary purpose of the new printer: Quality color photographic
prints.
Secondary purpose of the new printer: The occasional printout.
I need the ability to print to 11x17.
The Epson 1270 is pretty intruiging, but is there any other
printer I should be looking at? Are any of them Ethernet 10/100
connectable?
I have an 1280 hooked up to an Epson Etherprint thingie. Works great from
both the PCs and Mac on the network. It's a good printer, although the
heads clog, clog, clog. I am thinking about converting it to a B&W printer
using the Inkjet Mall SW and ink, and get a Canon 900/0 for color. The
Canon is about 10x FASTER! (droll...) No money for now though.
Of course there's the new Epson 2000 w/ pigment inks.... and then the
dye-sub printers... Ah so many possibilities....
