For any UK members interested in a Uni-Loc ma1600 35mm/medium format tripod
(eqivalent to a Benbo 1) , I will be travelling to England in mid-August,
and can bring mine to sell (shipping is very expensive from Denmark). It is
almost brand-new. I have bought a Uni-Loc 1700, which is a bit smaller
(equivalent to a Benbo Trekker).

New price is £125, but I would like £70 plus shipping (around £10 I
believe). I will be driving from Heathrow to Liverpool and staying just
south of Liverpool, so shipping could be free if that fitted.

For info on Uni-Loc tripods, and their relation to Benbo, try

I have two tripods.

  A Bogen 3221 with the 410 mini-geared head............

A Benbo Trekker/Mini-Trekker. If I had one tripod, this would be it.
Biggest problem is remembering to hold onto the camera when you loosen the
single BENt BOlt. I know what I said above about center columns, but the
Benbos will do so many things in so many positions...
