I hate to mention that compact German 35mm camera I carried for many a year
again ......... so I won't mention it ;)
But I have to say that with some exceptions (and obviously there are always
the shots where a shorter or longer lens makes all the difference) the 40mm
focal length lens was ideal for most average travel shots.
I recently aquired a 35mm/f2 from a listmember on here; and although I
haven't used it yet, I am sure it is destined to become one of my most used
pieces of glass. There is no doubt circumstances where a 28mm lens will do
where a 35mm will not, but given a choice of just one I would pick the
latter.
Cheers,
Lee
