Just my two cents 'bout this topic...
4 months ago I bought a *very* well used 35 f/2.8 silvernosed. At first, I
bought it just for "curiosity" (let's call it so... Maybe, instead, I'm just on
my way to Zuikoholism...), but now I find myself very pleased using it as a
"normal" lens...
I own a 24 f/2.8 too and a Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 (a good performer, by the way),
so my wide-angles set is quite complete (I know I should reach for a 21mm
f/3.5... Just gimme enough time and money! ;)
Putting aside for a while all the issues regarding resolution, contrast and
color rendition, I found that the 24mm and the 35mm do really complement well
each other.
Hence, my 28mm lays often in its box and I use the 24mm and 35mm most of the
time. I found the 35mm angle of view (63°) very versatile for both landscape
and portraits (if you want to ambient the subject into a well defined context).
Of course the 24mm is the natural choice when i want to take picture of wide
landscapes...
Now I'm waiting for my MC 35mm f/2 to be delivered which, I hope, will give me
even more satisfaction than its slower, silver-nosed brother...
I hope its high-resolution fame is real, as I plan to use it as an all-purpose
lens.
Ciao!
Fabio
