Arrrgggghhh ! I couldn't disagree more! (already diving for cover) My Usual
camera is a 4T along with one of my 1n's. Having recently obtained a 2n again I
forsee it getting a lot of use ! A while ago I part ex'd a good 2n towards a
truly mint 4. For my style of photography it was a mistake. I should have part
ex'd my 2sp! Shooting B+W I don't use spot facility that often. I find the
battery drain of the 2spot and 4 a pain in the*** Main reason being that as
back up camera's they don't get a lot of use, and when I go to use them....
Also in my opinion the 1n / 2n series are better handling cameras. Wind on
feels much smoother, and wider speed ring also helps. I have kept a 4 to
add to my collection of all things Olympus but my mint late cicuit OM4 is going
to a U.K. dealer on commission sale! I also have A very good 3 but is it any
better than my 1n's....I honestly don't think so. I think the 1n's will outlast
them all..and THEY have selftimers!

How bad really is the battery drain on the OM4s?
My experience with the OM 4 and the OM 2S, each of which has a reputation for
battery drain, is it just isn't that much of an issue. I've owned 2 of the OM
4s and probably a dozen of the OM 2Ss and have not had a noticible problem with
any of them. . If I were going to have to pay two prices for a camera body to
get the 4 Ti model rather than the 4, I'd be looking for a 4 in great
condition. Bill Barber
