So far the ISO800 Fuji Superia I have used were obviously much grainy
than the Superia 400 I have used (ok, it is much better than the Kodak
Gold 400). I just compared the one hour lab 4x6" print result, may be
custom prints are different. Even my wife and my sons can immediately
distinguish it from other Fuji 400 shots and I would say the exposure
of the negative was quite accurate as I'm a guy that shoot much more
slide than neg. and the roll of 800 was shoot with my mostly trusted
OM4.
On the other hand Fuji Superia 800 is still the finest film in its
range and the result is quite acceptable. If you really want to save
flash battery than the 800 will do.
