I just noticed an auction where the seller is calling the winder battery
holder a 6v power pack. This got me thinking (which might be dangerous)
could a person use a winder to power modeling lights on a flash? Or does
connecting the cord disconnect the batteries? In an ideal world you
would be able to use the winder function _and_ not have to deal with
wires from the battery pack. This might be a good use for an old Winder
I. Sequence mode isn't really desirable for macro. How much trouble
would it be to modify the winder? Would a stock cord work or could a
person make one up easily? Or am I totally nuts to try this?
