In a pinch, do it under a jacket or coat. You should be able to change
lenses blindfolded.
The "field expedient" method I've seen demonstrated with a suit coat (needs
to be a lined one that is light tight) buttons and folds it up around the
camera, with the front facing down on a table, then uses the arms of the
coat as the sleeves through which to handle the camera inside.
