Hmm, I hope so.
But what if the image tilts slightly when I shift the ring?
Hey, I got it! I bought the little known Zuiko 21mm 3,5 shift lens ;-)

A small amount of play in the focussing ring is not at all uncommon & most
likely will not affect the lens' usage. My 50/3.5 has some slight movement
& works flawlessly. If it gets bad enough, a CLA should fix it up when the
lens is re-lubed, etc. in any event, it will not affect picture quality.
>Damn, no luck for me today! Checked the Zukio 21mm f3,5 (same seller, about
>215,- $US) again and found that the focussing ring seems a little loose.
