It's not a natural characteristic of the film itself, but prints can easily be sepia-toned, and films like Ilford XP-2, when printed on colour papers, tend to come out looking sepia-toned as well. It's also very easy to do digitally - I use PSP and it's just a matter of colourising a monochrome image. If I remember rightly, 20 0n the 'hue' box and 80 0n the 'saturation' box is a reasonable place to start.
