I've put my head on the block (again) and volunteered to do some pictures of
a five-a-side tournament that my Company's arranging (our own little
world-cup). This'll be in the evening after work, probably outside.
I'd planned not to use flash if I can get away with it, but to use a fast
film (1600 ??) and uprate the rolls a stop or two as the light fades.
The funny thing is... I just asked my favourite processing lab about pushing
the film and they wont do it. Also asked "Happy Snaps" (they have a lab over
the road) and they said that they'll do it at the end of the day, so they
can leave it in the dev a bit longer, which sounds extremely hit-and-miss to
me!!!
Am I being thick/idealistic here? I just thought it would be a matter of
turning the dial on the minilab up a notch or two.
I think maybe I need to rethink my strategy here.
Has anyone any experience of photographing these sort of "mini"-sporting
events that they'd like to share with me?
