Marten:
I had the same problem as you with camera bags. At present, I have an
f64 bag that is 7"x7"x9" that fits my "OM Classic" set-up just fine.
This includes:
OM-1n
50/3.5
135/2.8
35 shift
21/3.5
16/3.5
With PLENTY of room to spare! The only thing I can criticize about it
is that the strap is a bit uncomfortable, but that could be remedied by
replacing the plastic pad with something more soft.
We are certainly blessed to have such compact equipment, and the small
size of our bags shows! ;) a friend who has an F100, 50/1.8, and some
soupy Tamron zoom weighs a lot more, and is bigger than what I tote
around.

On another note, I went shopping for a new (larger)
camera bag. Before I joined this list, my entire kit
could fit into one compact bag, but no longer! I
brought the lenses (and bodies) that I would
anticipate using on one photo outing to my local
camera store and tried out some of their bags. The
latest big "pro" Tamrac bags appear to have been
designed for large zooms and fat bodies, because my
little OM-2n, 35-70 f/3.5-4.5, 100 f/2.8 and others
were just swimming around with tons of room! It's
amazing how much OM gear can fit into a small bag,
kinda like the clowns climbing into their car at the
circus.
