I guess the closest synonym would be "difficult", (you
know...."gnarley"),seriously though, if I don't want
to drag out the 8X10 grey card, or carry it with me, I
just take an incident reading. Although todays color
neg film has a lot of latitude it seems to make my
photofinisher happy if I at least try to keep all the
negs on a roll within a reasonable and consistant
density, and glory be, when I'm doing my own B&W it's
nice to have negs I can print without a lot of monkey
