I sometimes have an arc in my images. The best way to describe it is here : http://www.verheyen22.yucom.be/photo/lesbos/wim/html/9608.html You'll see it right above the castle. The camera is an OM-4. -snip ----------------------------------------------------------------- Wim Verheyen, Houthalen, Belgium, wimwim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The Aemit modular analog home, The Kurzweil K2000/K2500 Atomium http://gallery.uunet.be/wimwim/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- Wim,It appears to be a shutter string. Many focal plane shutters use strings in the mechanism and in older cameras they appear in the frame because they have become stretched. A competent repairman can replace them. There was a lot of discussion of them on the list, also with pictures, several years ago. I don't know whether that is available in the archives or not. -- Winsor Crosby Long Beach, California ? < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
