OK, here's the deal. I have the following schedule.
Leave Orlando on June 4th for London.
45/6/7 in London
Leave London Friday night the 7th for SOMEWHERE.
Leave SOMEWHERE Sunday evening the 9th to fly to Poona, India (yes, Poona).
Leave Poona Tuesday evening the 11th to Singapore.
Leave Singapore Friday evening the 14th to Orlando.
So, the question. Where is SOMEWHERE?
I tried the very untraditional (Saint Petersburg, Russia), but it is too
far.
I could go traditional (Paris, Rome, Athens, etc.)
I could go a little less traditional (Cairo, Istanbul)
I'd love thoughts and suggestions.
OM kit, of course.
Tom
Hard to say for somebody else, Tom. Since you are going to be
traveling hard, I would make it easy on myself. You are going to be
tired due to the time change. Stay in England. It is less than 2
days. Anywhere you travel will not leave time to sightsee. You can
see an amazing number of places on train day trips from London. At
least spend a few hours soaking up Stonehenge. Roots, you know. You
could take an overnight trip to Cornwall, eat pasties or clotted
cream and wonder what language the natives are speaking. Wonderful
seascapes for the water TOPE.
Are you working during your stay in London? Then you need some free
time for London. Look at the peat bog guy in the British Museum.
Worth it. Go to the theater. Take a ride on the Thames. Look at the
crown jewels.
