I saw a Mac based driver on the Acer site several months ago! Search the
Acer web site and see if it is still there!

Subject: [OM] Re: Acer Scanwit and Monopods
Hey Zuikoholics,
A couple of questions for you:
One regarding the Acer Scanwit 2720....I know that its a SCSI based
scanner, but does anyone know that it will work on a Mac? The BenQ
web site has Mac drivers for it, as well as the 2740, but the specs
say that it calls for a Windows based OS. I'm thinking of buying one,
but I'd like to know that it won't be incompatible first.
Also, regarding monopods....I've seen motorsports photographers using
monopods that allow the camera and big lens to "flop down" when
transporting the assembly. Are there monopods that allow this, or are
there specific heads that bolt on that allow this functionality? What
do you guys recommend?
thanks in advance.
