Ed, I agree with the other post that says put in fresh batteries. OM-PC's
tend to lock up with poor batteries. They also tend to get the dreaded
degenerative circuit disease, which causes lockups at irregular intervals.
It's a shame that this camera wasn't built better. It really was a nice
design and had nice features like early matrix metering, rubberized body,
and program operation

Subject: [OM] Help with OM-PC problem
Date: Sun, 19 May 2002 01:22:28 -0400
I bought my son an OM-PC to keep him from my OM-2n, and with the second
roll of film he tried to put in it, he jammed it. The rewind button is
down, the shutter won't cock or fire and the sprocket in the film
chamber freewheels. I've taken off the baseplate to see if there's
anything I could jiggle to get it to release, but nothing jumps out at
me. Can any of you give me any suggestions as to what to do, or is it
time to send the camera to John H.?
