The rear ends of Nikon and Oly lenses adn their covers are about the
same size. Two problems. Nikon cases are expensive. Oly lenses are
virtually always smaller than the equivalent speed/FL lenses from Nikon
(and other makers), so you really have to get interior dimensions or
take the lens in and try it. I bought a Nikon 18/3.5 lens case and found
that the Oly 18/3.5, even with the adapter/hood would just have rattled
around loose in that vast space.
There are quite a few lens cases of various makes on the Bay at often
reasonable prices. I've picked up Oly cases for all my lenses that
didn't come with them there.

Does anyone know how Olympus lenses fit into other vendor's
hard cases, like Nikon? Is the stem (the end that goes into the
the case first) of an Olympus lens (with rear lens cover) smaller
or larger than a Nikon one? I ask this because buying a new
Nikon case might be cheaper, when I factor in the gas and
trouble to visit lots of used camera stores.
