I found a $5 Nikon hard case long ago (CL-33S) that I snapped up. It wasn't
the current model when I found it 15 years ago. (Maybe it's 'vintage'!)
When I got the "user" Zuiko 28/2, it fit the Nikon case well in diameter but
the diminutive 28 was shorter than the case by a mile.
An off-brand "Albinar" tele case now houses the equally-off-brand Kiron
80-200 f4. After 28 years of Zuiko-ism I finally have the correct used case
for each of my modest collection of used lenses. Using hard cases for
everything allows me to stuff my gear into a stealthy black gym bag.
Haven't figured out tripod straps yet though.
