Actually, The Topcon Suped D TTL preceded the Asahi (Pentax) Spotmatic, but
the Spotmatic is much better remembered, because it sold in much greater
numbers.
Asahi does have many "firsts" .....
First instant-return mirror on a single-viewfinder camera.
First SLR to have a clip-on CdS light meter.
First multi-coated production lenses for a SLR (1971)
First SLR with built-in, automatic, aperture-preferred exposure control that
was electronically controlled by the first Integrated Circuit in *any*
camera. (1972)

Asahi is one of the very early optical/camera companies in Japan.
They pioneered the very first Through-The-Lens (TTL) metering
systems in their SLRs in the form of the Pentax cameras. I don't
think they have ever produced lenses for the Olympus OM mount.
