It is my understanding that spot-meter on the OM-4t will average up to 8
"spots". I have never spot metered 8.
However, if you want to give more weight to one area's exposure than the
rest of the scene and still have a "weighted" average favoring that area,
you can spot meter it more than once; ie.spot-meter the desired area twice
and an adjacent area once. The camera will give 2/3 weight to the area you
spot metered twice.
I don't have anything more than anecdotal information to support this, but I
think I read it in the F280 manual, or infered it from the information
contained there.
