Well, I'll make my story short. My name is Bob Gries and have been on
and off the list for a little over 2 years. It all started in college a
few years back when I was researching which SLR to buy. The mechanical
body of the OM-1 sounded great, and the purity of design made it
perfect. However, my first body was an OM-2n bought at a garage sale w/
several accoutrements for $50. That body and a 50/1.8 served me well
for a few years until I became distracted by a Century Graphic that I
took to Austria, and eventually used to get some architectural
photography jobs. I eventually sold this camera to purchase a 35 shift,
and have been using misc. jobs to acquire equipment since then. If
anyone is interested, they can piece together the story at:

I have thoroughly enjoyed this list, and the great knowledge contained
here. I have learned quite a bit, and hope that I can also contribute
something in the fullness of time.
Bob
