Any PJ (photo-journalist) type situation in which I don't want to use the
camera rotating flash bracket and/or flash recharge time needs to be
short. It's the next best thing to the rotating bracket. The BG2 keeps
the flash *above* the lens both horizontally and vertically, albeit not
directly above it as a more complex flash bracket does. It's still better
than having the flash in the hot shoe directly to the side of the lens when
shooting a vertical!
If you think an OM with BG2 and T-32 is heavy, try picking up some of the
*other* rigs that are similarly set up (Nikon F2/F3HP and Canon F-1/A-1
come to mind)!
