I had a zuiko 100/2 that disappeared on me. I keep hoping it will show
up, but my fear is that it was lifted while I was not paying attention.
It's a heavy lens, like the 90/2. (I wished there was a zuiko 105mm/f2
macro lens.) The view in the viewfinder with the 100/2 is superb. Makes
focusing a snap and is great for isolating a subject from the
background. But for me, I'm more likely to pack the 100/2.8 because of
weight. The sharpness of my photos more often depends on the use of a
tripod versus the lens I choose. If the 100/2 + 2X = 200/4 combination
worked, that would also be a plus, but the result is just too soft. All
these factors make it more difficult to include the 100/2 in the bag,
versus an 85/2, 100/2.8, 90/2, 135/2.8, 35-80/2.8, 80-200/2.8 zoom,
etc. But it *is* a nice piece of glass - no zuikoholic should be
without one. The 100/2 goes in the class of lenses (like the 35-80/2.8)
that balance very well with a motor drive.
