I've just bought my first silvernose, a 300mm/4.5. At least I think I have,
someone said something about aperture rings being silver. Only the edge of
the front element & the hood are silver. It has "Olympus OM-System F.Zuiko
Auto-T 1:4.5 f=300mm 101452 Lens made in Japan" around the front element.
This does make it a silvernose, right? It has a few light chips in the
paint, but is otherwise in good mechanical and optical condition (I hope,
as I've only just got it home!) It has the tripod collar & both original
lens caps. What I would like to know is, is the 300/4.5 an inherently good
lens, & do any of you folks have photographs taken with one on the web
anywhere?
Thanks,
Andy Gilbert
