Yes, I have one. A very nice lens that takes sharp pix. Very nicely
built and smooth operating. I took it on a two week trip to Maine last
summer as my only lens over 35mm and it didn't let me down. Even chasing
a moose through underbrush on an overcast day I got the picture (Moose
chasing moose). I didn't have the 85/2 then, but I'd take it also in the
future for a bit more speed.
As in many other classes of lens, it is smaller and lighter than the
Tamron equivalent, yet gives away only 10mm and miniscule speed at the
long end. Six blade diaphram vs. eight in the Tamron
Mine does have slow focus creep, no problem when shooting, but always
ends up at 200mm when hanging on chest or under arm.
I'm having a hard time deciding between the this Tokina and the Tamron
28-200/3.8-5.6 aspherical as my 'go anywhere lens'.
Tamron goes wider (and is wider), is lighter, is physically much shorter
at 28mm and is two-touch so it doesn't creep.
Tokina is faster at 200mm and focuses closer with macro to 1:4
Oh, I paid about $90 including shipping, a lot of lens for the money.

There's one available locally for about $100US and I wondered idly.
