I can scan the chromes made using my pro 35mm film camera using a 4000 dpi
film scanner, achieve 24 Megapixels of image data, and still not capture
all the information content on the film. Actual film information content
varies between 55 to 70+ Megapixels depending on specific film used. It's
the reason for drum scanners. The 4000dpi 35mm film scanner alone is
capable extracting 150% more information from a 35mm format film chip than
this new CCD can deliver.
