Actually, remember that the RN has only 4.5 inch guns, 1 per boat.
The big stuff is left to the aircraft (if they're not busy defending
the boat they have just taken off from) or the Tomahawk subs.
"Global Reach, Global Power", the mantra chanted by our 2 navies, is
a little hollow in the modern threat.
