It is shaped like the outside of the PX625 mercury battery or Wein cell. You insert a zinc air hearing-aid battery into it. I've used it in everything I have that takes the Mercury and it works great. Just stuck it in my Gossen meter and checks fine. The hearing aid batteries each last about as long as a Wein cell and cost muuch less. A little pack of 5 is like $2-3.M.E. Bachofen I have one and keep it (and some 675 Zinc-Air cells) as a spare to the MR-9's.I received a private email recently asking about "PX625 Mercury Cell" solutions. While preparing the reply outlining all the options I tried to find another source for these teflon rings without success. :-( -- John < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
