The plot thickens, somewhat.
Further experimentation; if I move the ISO dial, the needle does change,
but only fractionally -- if I point it at something very dark and change
from 25..1600, the needle moves about 1 stop.
More strange -- no matter what I do with the aperture dial, the needle
never moves. I tried removing the lens and manually moving the sliding thing
inside there back and forth, but that still does nothing.
It's almost as if the only thing affecting the needle is the light meter,
and the rest of the camera is somehow disconnected from it.
Does this sound familiar at all?
