Yes, I have the C&C guides for most of the OM bodies. They're pretty good,
they have nice simple flow charts to help you diagnose problems. At times
they get a bit too technical and go into repairs that would normally be
considered BER (beyond economical repair). All of the guides are centered
around *troubleshooting*, not disassembly or mechanical repair. You still
need the Olympus service manuals if you want to know how things go together.

Yes, the SPT is real and used to publish journals with detailed information
on camera repair. I have the OM-2S SPT journal scanned and posted on my
web site at: http://olympus.dementia.org/Hardware
I believe Phil Zimmerman, one of the authors of the C&C guides, used to write
for the SPT.
