I took the more expensive route to MF, as I had just inherited some
dosh. I graduated from a Fuji GS645S to my current Bronica RF645 as
the latter has a range of lenses (45, 65 and 135). I enjoyed the
Fuji and the quality of its photos, but I wanted a wider angle and a
portrait lens. I would still recommend a Fuji though.

The Y-Mat 124G IMHO is too expensive given that you are paying a lot
extra for the meter, which is pretty poor - I would look for an
earlier, meterless Y_mat - will be a lot cheaper.
My first dip into medium format was a meterless Y-mat, have since
moved to a bronica ETRSi.
Of course, you could buy the 35-70 in the meantime, as it will take
you a while to find an ealier Y-Mat.........
I know, no help what-so-ever......
Cheers
