In this Epson v. HP or Canon controversy, I like the
Epson because I can't see the individual dots on my
1280, I can get a continuous feed system for it, and
the inks are more archival (time will tell on the new
Canon models). But Epson has come out with a new
pigment (rather than dye) system which may be truly
archival.

PS. Besides I got a refurbished 1280 for $250 from
Micro City and can do 11x14s.
