I also like my 200/3. And, yes, the lens cap is a slip on. Most of the
Series 1 lenscaps of that era were slip-fits. I've had several of the S/1
lenses over the years. I immediately replace the lens caps with some sort
of other plastic, two-button caps and store the Series 1 cap away. The
clip-on's are much more secure.
In fact, the 200/3 cap that I bought from Germany came with an Exakta
lenscap, if you can believe that.

One question -- the 'vivitar series 1' lenscap doesn't clip on, it just
slides over the hood -- is this normal with these lenses? It's not loose
enough to fall off easily, but it seems a bit weird to me.
