Tom told me this about the last and best f1.4 formula:
"Yes, they did change the formula, but oddly they did it right before they
dropped the MC. Those of us on the OM Mailing list have really tried to
figure out the exact break point, but it looks to be right at 1,085,000 or
so. A little below the 1,1 mark."

To my understanding the one hour lab printing machine will do its auto
adjustment first and the operator may or may not add his/her own adjustment
during printing. So some color adjustment are probably made automatically.
The MC 50/1.4 is definitely cooler (color bal.) than the SC one. The lens
you tested is <1,000,000 I think you need to try the SN>1,100,000 one, it is
further sharper but color under fluorescence without correction is not a
fair test condition for the lenses.

Don't think so. I was there when they printed the pics
out and the pics looked greenish over the viewer and
when printed. The only thing the processor ever had to
do was lower or raise the density on a couple of shots
to get a bit more detail or curtail some slight
lightness. She said my pics were remarkably well
exposed and most of them went through the machine
uncorrected (to my knowledge)

I'm quite certain this is the result of film
processing, not a
manifestation of the lens.

The other lens I recently got, the 50/1.4, was a
dissappointment to me. The images were very

cooler and had a nasty greenish tint to them from
the
flouresence. The rest of the color transmission
seemed
somewhat off as well, colors seemed to clash with
this
50, rather than blend like the 90 and delineate
with
the 50/2.
