If I remember an article I read a while back, Olympus stated that the reason
they were not pursuing a digital SLR with interchangeable lenses was due to
the amount of work needed to ensure accuracy through the system and to
eliminate the potential for foreign elements to enter the system (or
something along that line - I'm sure I kept the article somewhere). The
main point being that rather than focus on interchangeable lenses they
wanted to focus on interchangeable cameras. Need a wide angle? Use the
E-16mm! Need a super-tele? Use the E-500!

I love the thing -- even more than I expected too. I may someday go for an
interchangeable lens digital SLR, but then the E-20 will be the equivalent
of the IS-3, a useful 'high-end' point and shoot. I guess that's actually
the best description of the E-10/E-20.
Now if I'd just stop working so much so I could actually shoot!!!!!
Of course, the fact that we may be moving to Orlando is confusing things
too....
