I knew that Nikon discontinues their cameras pretty fast, but do they really
scrap their parts as well? Does this mean that there will be more OM parts
10 years from now (by which time an OM2n will be 35 years old) than a Nikon
that is only 10 years old? I am not an expert for sure, but this seems
really strange. How could Nikon have survived this long with such a short
product horizon?
Regards,
-Bill

Nikon has a history of discontinuing product quicker than anyone AND running
out of parts that are not OEM, (shutter units), not to mention circuits. At
first he'll feel fine about the decision, but wait 5-10 years from now when
he needs service.
