I assume Jeff means the Zuiko 35-105/3.5-4.5. If so, I agree.
I also agree with Tom S.'s assessment as far as I can, never having owned
the 35-70/4 or 3.6. The 35-80/2.8 is just about all I use anymore in the
focal lengths it covers.
And yet. The 35-105 does come very close. The extra MM are extremely
useful ones as well. Yes, it is slower than the 35-80/2.8, but
particularly if one is shooting landscapes, the lack of speed is easily
accommodated. And since it is a one-touch zoom, it has a very useful DOF
scale.
I think the 35-105/3.5-4.5 is one of the best values going.
