Hi,

I can have two zoom lenses pretty cheap.
They both cover about the same range, and I only need one, question then is :
which one ? They are not Zuikos, otherwise, I could find the info on the esif.

One is a Tokina SZ-X SD 28-105mm 1:4-5.3.
The other is a Tamron zoom macro 1:2.8~3.5 f=35~80mm BBAR MULTI C.
The last description would be multi-coated I guess.
Would the Tokina also be MC ?
Both lenses have very clean glass, the aperture moves smoothly, and so do the
focusing/zoom rings.

I tend to go for the Tamron, since it is faster, and the zoom range is smaller,
which I think would involve less optical problems. Besides, I don't need a very
extended zoom range. If I have to go really wide or tele, I will use a Zuiko
prime. The macro function on the Tamron produces much more magnification than
on the Tokina.

But I still would like to hear some other opinions, of people who have used
these lenses, and how they would compare them, quality wise.

Regards,
