Yes, it's just like a bigger stack of normal extension tubes. Works fine,
though the fiddliness of getting things in frame/focus starts to really be
noticeable at that sort of magnification. That said, you can get really
pretty close with it:

Those were using a generic 50/1.8 (and a flash to get enough light in
there).
