Hi Winsor:
Examination of slides from my various 600mm Zuiko lens tests shows
that horizontal blurring is the culprit when not cradling the camera
body. That strongly points to shutter vibration, which is to be
expected from a low weight body like an OM. Add a motor drive and
you've upped the weight. Unfortunately, between 1 sec and 1/8th sec
there is nothing that seems to work to effectively eliminate the
problem - short of trying to add mass to the camera body itself. I
avoid shooting super telephotos within that range of shutter speeds.
