After experimenting with my 300/4.5 with a 2x-A, I found I got the best results by using my left hand to put pressure on top of the lens right at the tripod collar, and tripping the shutter carefully with my right hand (no cable release, it didn't seem to make much of a difference either way). I doubt I made any tests at shutter speeds slower than about 1/60 though, but the overwhelming majority of the shots were acceptably sharp to *me*, none enlarged past 8x12. Paul Schings P.S. Is this coming through as plain text (I hope!)? |
