My Bronica RF 645 has an effective shutter speed of 1/750th (the
blurb says) at the smallest aperture of the lens. The speed
increases from 1/500th as the aperture close from fully open when in
Auto or Programme. I don't know how that squares up to Les'
observation...
Oh, and by the way (OT, for anyone who is interested) I now have the
135mm lens for the camera.

...leading to an *effective* shutter speed of 1/350 of a second, when
the shutter is in first-class condition. It goes downhill -- albeit
slowly -- after that as it ages and the lubricants gum up. May take
years, though.
Could be, but the three Bronica SQ lenses I owned up to last year was very
accurate at 1/2 stop over at 1/500s (~1/350?) even they have been used and
storage for over 20 years.
