Given all of this talk about OM lenses on a digital body. I dug up a thread
on the mythical OM-5 back from 1998 from rec.photo.equipment.35mm that's
pretty funny.

Or that's what I've heard. Will probably be launched at Photokina in
September. Don't know much about it, but it is likely to build on the
OM-4Ti. Meaning a very flexible metering system and manual focus. Let's hope
they keep the compact size of the OM-4Ti.
Just thought you guy's would like to know...

Sounds like the wrong designation, though. Manual cameras have odd numbers,
even numbers go to electronic ones.

Exiting news! Any word on a new Zuiko lens to go along with the new OM, such
as the 35-80/2.8 that came along with the OM-3ti?
Thanks,
Greg Logiodice

Not yet, but I'll see what I can find out. My contacts may have more
information.
