Peter,
It's not that big a deal. Steer him to www.bidpay.com. You'll get a Western
Union money order in US dollars -- easy to cash at your bank. Shipping
isn't that bad either, just take it to the post office. A couple extra
forms.
I ship internationally and am pretty used to it. I lost track of the number
of countries I've shipped to, but overall not hard.
